This print depicts Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, the Lily of the Mohawks, the first Native American saint. Upon her conversion to Catholicism she prayed for the conversion of her own people and lived the life of an ascetic. She became an outcast to her own Mohawk people and in great danger until her death at the age of 24, presented here in warm, neutral colors to complement many decorating styles.
